In 1940s Berlin, Mandrake the Magician, master illusionist, arrives undercover as a Viennese impresario with Lothar, his powerful companion, to dismantle the S.S. Police Division—a Gestapo unit blending occult rituals with espionage. Led by fanatical Obersturmführer Klaus von Schatten, this "Schattenpolizei" seeks the Veil of Wotan, a mythical shroud granting invisibility, to assassinate Churchill and shift the war. Mandrake infiltrates their ranks at a Kaiserhof gala, conjuring phantom Valkyries, while Lothar and Narda, his acrobatic ally, uncover coded Enochian missives. In rain-soaked U-Bahn tunnels, Mandrake’s hypnosis thwarts feral S.S. were-wolf commandos. Allied with Jewish kabbalists wielding golem magic, they storm the Reich Chancellery’s bunkers. In a duel of illusions, Mandrake outwits von Schatten, securing the veil as bombers roar above. The division collapses, but a surviving S.S. operative escapes with a veil shard, hinting at future threats. Mandrake vanishes, leaving a sigil-sealed legacy.
